Spring 2026 Local Elections: Building Power, Building Tactics
Following on from our kick-off webinar on 8th January, we'll be exploring how to build a strong community voice on the need for climate justice that can be fed back to political candidates. We’ll be talking through and resourcing you with tactics - from running listening campaigns to organising hustings and getting local press coverage.

Senedd election campaigning – How to run a hustings
The Senedd elections are happening on 7th May 2026. This session is for Welsh groups to learn how to run a hustings in the run up to the elections.

Planet Over Profit spring activities
Learn about Friends of the Earth's new timber research and how it can be used in your local Planet Over Profit campaign. We’ll be hearing from local groups who have hosted film screenings and looking ahead to a local day of action, including petition and open letter hand-ins.

Facilitation workshop
A practical, skills-based session on how to facilitate effective, fun and accessible meetings. The session will include tips for best practice, how to set a running agenda, facilitate inclusive meetings, and exercises to get stuck into facilitation and meeting planning.

Mayoral campaigns skill-share
Mayors and Combined Authorities have a vital role in delivering action on climate and nature in a growing number of areas across England. Join Local Action Group campaigners seeking to increase the ambitions of Mayors in our skill-share in order to apply the experiences from their area to make your Mayoral campaign more effective.

Solidarity with Palestine – pushing your MP for justice and accountability
Join this webinar to hear updates on the environmental impacts of the occupation/genocide as well as the latest on how local action groups can push their MPs for justice and accountability. We’ll also share updates on all Friends of the Earth work on Palestine.

2026 Local Elections - activist lunchtime drop-in sessions
If you want to share updates, test ideas and get hands‑on help on campaigns your are running in the run-up to the elections in May 2026, we are running informal support sessions for campaigners and local groups. You could be planning a social media post, forming a community engagement plan or preparing for an MP meeting, this space is open for you for guidance and feedback. This is a recurring fortnightly lunchtime session until May 14 2026.
