Welcome webinar

Concerned about the climate and ecological crisis but not sure what you can do to help?

Come along to this introductory session to learn more about our local action group network, campaigns and how you can get involved. Whether you’re a seasoned activist or just starting out, everyone is welcome! We’ll cover Friends of the Earth’s long history, hear from local leaders and find out about our current campaigns. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with people across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, hear wonderful stories and feel motivated to join the action.

Planet over Profit webinar

Join out Planet over Profit webinar where we'll be reviewing group activities during International Day of Forests. During the webinar you'll also hear from WALHI (Friends of the Earth Indonesia) who'll share their perspectives during their UK visit. Two community members impacted by land-grabbing and intimidation will speak about their struggles. WALHI will also present new research on ongoing deforestation by palm oil giant Astra Agro Lestari.

  • Get support and insight from Friends of the Earth campaigners and activism staff.

Summer Action Gatherings 

Our Summer Action Gatherings are friendly, inclusive events for Friends of the Earth local action group members and the wider environmental justice activist network. Join us for a day of sharing, connecting, plotting and planning.

When? Various dates in May, June and July 2024.

Anyone is welcome to attend any event, regardless of where you live.


Anti-racism training 

In March-May 2024 we'll be holding anti-racism training. 

Join us for our anti-racism training tailored for climate activists, where we dive into practical skills and do some thinking around structural changes essential for fostering anti-racist movements.


What? A training session to give you the tools to contribute to a more equitable and united fight for a sustainable future.

Why? To come together to build a movement that represents everyone. Gain skills and feel confident to develop and run environmental justice campaigns with an anti-racism focus.


How to influence your new or returning mayor

On Thursday 2 May 2024, elections for combined authority mayors will have been held in 9 regions across England, and for the Mayor of London. Join us on 9 May 2024 to reflect on the outcomes of these mayoral elections and to plan the next steps of our campaign: to ensure newly elected mayors step up and commit to ambitious, urgent and meaningful action on climate and nature.

Why attend?

  • Reflect on the outcome of the elections and the campaign so far.
  • Hear proposals for the next steps of the campaign.
  • Discuss the tactics and resources we need to secure the action we need.

Take part in Refugee Week 2024

Refugee Week is the world’s largest arts and culture festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary. This year it's taking place on 17-23 June. 

Join our online session and find out everything you need to know about supporting your group to take part in Refugee Week. We'll cover why we’re taking part in Refugee Week, the activity groups were involved in last year, the key Refugee Week resources, and how groups can get involved this year.
