Knaresborough and Harrogate Friends of the Earth
We are a very mixed group of activists who meet on the First Wednesday of each month at Knaresborough Working Men's Club, Kirkgate, HG5 at 6.45pm (for 7pm start). New members are always very welcome to join us. In addition to campaigning against the important world-wide issues which affect us all - climate change, food and water shortages, decreases in biodiversity - we are very concerned about local issues and are actively involved in a wide range of activiities - planning, transport, river pollution, guerilla gardening, Knaresborough Buzz Line, pond life, Knaresborough Forest Park, Longlands Common, saving Rotary Wood... and between meetings we use the Buttercup Community Cafe (just off Market Place) for conversation and making plans.
