Fenland and West Norfolk Friends of the Earth

The group started life in 2020 just as the pandemic began! Since those early days, we’ve continued with online meetings (open to all and often with invited speakers), but with the pleasant addition of face-to-face catch-ups.

We focus on controversial local issues, give input to local developments where appropriate, and our United for Warm Homes campaign, begun in 2023, has evolved into a collaboration with the Borough Council to ensure that those who need most help are aware of current and future schemes for warmer homes and lower bills.

We keep in touch with other volunteer groups, councillors and MPs - a great help when organising events such as election debates to enable the public to question candidates face-to-face.

We’re a friendly bunch, often learning from each other, and welcome new members of all ages and from all walks of life!
