Barnet Friends of the Earth

Barnet Friends of the Earth works tirelessly to promote more environmentally friendly practices in Barnet.

We support a number projects. Currently, our principal projects include:

The Wastrels monitor and report on how Barnet deals with our waste. For example, they visited Biffa's Enfield recycling plant and produced this sterling report.

Clean Air Barnet

We are assisting Breathe London to monitor Air Quality monitors across Barnet, by installing and monitoring concentrations of NO2 (Nitrogen Dioxide) and PM2.5 (small particulate matter).

Warm Homes Petition

Friends of the Earth's 'United for Warm Homes' campaign asks the government to ease financial hardship and help the environment simultaneously by insulating our cold homes and greening up the UK's energy system. We are lobbying Barnet MPs to ensure that the current Government delivers.

About local action groups

Local action groups are part of a large network supported with plenty of expertise, training, resources and lobbying power. They're made up of people like you, and together they’ll bring about big systemic change.

Together we can boost the impact of every local win. We can look to each other for inspiration. We can find strength in numbers to push for big national change.
